Water Remedial Plumber/Water Hygiene Engineer

HydroChem Group is an established national company, who provides the full range of water treatment/water hygiene, legionella services to clients throughout the UK. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Water Hygiene Engineer / Remedial Plumber to work on a variety of contracts. The successful candidate will have extensive experience undertaking a wide range of L8 compliance duties, alongside remedial plumbing tasks. Applications from the North East of England, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the water treatment/hygiene industry.
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Package.
  • Relevant plumbing qualifications.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
  • Proceed with temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analysing water systems.
  • Maintain and installing dosing systems, etc.
  • Carry out any remedial plumbing work when required.
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship with clients.
  • Cold water storage tank cleans, inspections, dosing, and chlorination’s
  • Tank disinfections
  • Closed system checks and analysis
  • Temperature monitoring and sampling
  • Cooling tower cleans and chlorination’s
  • Legionella water sampling
  • Water treatment and maintenance of water features
  • TMV servicing and repair
  • Showerhead cleans and disinfections
  • Dead leg removals
  • Required Experience
  • Experience carrying out the above duties
  • A full UK driving license is essential

The Role

Reporting daily to the operations supervisor, successful candidates will visit clients’ sites and be the ambassador of the company, seeking to enhance relationships with existing clients.

You will be carrying out key duties to ensure their systems are kept compliant. You will be working alongside likeminded and supportive colleagues to provide a great customer service.

Legionella Risk Assessor

HydroChem Group recruit experienced Legionella Risk Assessors who have a minimum 2 years’ experience in our Team; we provide in house training with significant opportunity for future career development.

Role overview

• Consulting with clients to carry out Legionella Risk Assessments on a variety of sites
• Producing detailed reports and schematic drawings
• Offering technical advice and support to customers and colleagues
• Carrying out complex Hot & Cold Surveys
• Completing reports within specified timescales

From time to time you may also be conducting temperature checks, TMV services, Sampling, and system disinfections.
